Last Wednesday, October 22, a delegation from Special Olympics Qu\u00e9bec was received at the National Assembly. Six athletes, one coach, and one mission staff member were welcomed by National Assembly President Nathalie Roy. This delegation was part of the Canadian team at the World Games in Turin.<\/p>

Accompanied by Special Olympics Qu\u00e9bec Board Chair Daniel Granger, athletes Jessica Lariv\u00e9e, Shelby St-Hilaire, Audrey Larose-Rapin, Christopher LeBlanc, Rachelle Parent, Oc\u00e9ane Rajotte, coach Serge Gagnon, and mission staff member Ashley Filadelfi were applauded by members of the National Assembly in the Blue Room. They visited the Parliament Building and then attended a recognition ceremony during which Oc\u00e9ane Rajotte and Daniel Granger gave speeches.<\/p>

Isabelle Charest, Minister responsible for Sport, Recreation and Outdoor Activities, Enrico Ciccone, Member of Parliament for Marquette, and Yannic Gagnon, Member of Parliament for Jonqui\u00e8re, were present at the ceremony.<\/p>
