A tireless volunteer for more than 20 years, Johanne Boivin is the recipient of the 2024 Noëlla Douglas Excellence Award

Before joining Special Olympics Québec as a swimming coach, Johanne Boivin acted as an official for generic swimming competitions. Her commitment progressed so quickly that she embraced the role of coordinator of the Québec local section. In 2017, thanks to his hard work, the Special Olympics Québec Summer Games were held in Québec City.

It is difficult to describe Johanne achievement all through those years since her commitment to the cause is total.  But let that mention that she has been a boccia coach and responsible for the medical service during several Special Olympic Québec sporting events among others. Her first concern always remained the well-being athletes. She likes them so much and they fully repay her.

On behalf of the Special Olympics Quebec community, congratulations Johanne!
