


This clinic provides athletes with a foot and ankle health assessment by professional podiatrists and podiatry students to determine if they have any bone deformities, gait problems, or skin problems.
Following the screening, the podiatry professionals advise athletes on socks and shoes adapted to their needs and foot type. Each athlete also receives a pair of suitable sports shoes and information on podiatric care available in their local area.
Statistic Of 352 athletes examined at the 2019 Provincial Winter Games, 75% had a skin and nail problem, 38% had a bone deformity, and 67% had a gait problem.
