A big successful unified meeting!

Last Saturday, March 16, the big unified meeting was held at the McGill University sports complex. In total, 235 athletes, 218 students and 80 Special Olympics Québec coaches participated in this day of social inclusion through sport and health.

Grand-rendez-vous-unifié

On the program: unified and friendly sports competitions, screenings in 4 disciplines (physiotherapy, optometry, dentistry, health promotion). Students and health professionals had the opportunity to assess the health of athletes and be teammates on the field. All university and college partners welcomed the athletes with openness, pleasure and passion.

All participants with or without intellectual disabilities were able to meet beyond differences in order to dream and build a more inclusive world. Special Olympics Québec would like to thank all of its partners for their commitment to the success of the day. A special mention to McGill University without which this day would not have been possible! A final thank you to the SPVM and its ambassador Flik for their support and enthusiasm!
