February 29: 2nd day of competitions in Calgary

Quebec still ranks 3rd in the medal table with 34. Far ahead are Ontario with 79 and British Columbia with 61.

Les bleus once again won several medals in cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and alpine skiing. In total, in these three sports, 16 medals were won by Quebec athletes.

Note that Rachelle Parent, Emily Balycky, Jessica Larivée, Samuel Bélisle and Audrey Larose-Rapin all won a second medal in two days of games. Rachel Chevrette won two silver medals in cross-country skiing 100 meters and 500 meters.

Indoor hockey has started. Team Quebec 1 won its two matches; against Peterborough (ON) 3-0 and against Saskatchewan 9 to 1. Team Quebec 2 also won its two matches against Newmarket (ON) 8-2 and against New Brunswick 5-3, but drew against Prince Edward Island 2-2.

Two difficult days of curling for les bleus. These two days ended in defeats.
